In a nutshell, she was born on October 29, 1982 in Vancouver, and now is signed with a talent agency based out of LA. She's also a professional model (no surprise there). Her perky personality shines through in her official website and her myspace page, with tips and tidbits about her pooch, boyfriend, cooking, auditions, hobbies, etc. She seems almost as likeable as she is gorgeous to look at. Of note, her boyfriend is now her fiance! Congrats Chelan!
Her popularity has been gaining at imdbpro. After wallowing in the 10,000's for the first half of the decade, 2006 saw a significant jump with Final Destination 3 pushing close to the top thousand and John Tucker Must Die pushing her briefly into the top 1000. 2008 has seen her firmly entrenched in the mid to low 1000s, with some bumping up and down (see right column).
